Everyone talks about losing weight. Road to Power does not. This 8-week program is about capacity – more performance, more satisfaction and more energy, in the body and in the head. And if a better shape, stronger muscles and less body fat come out of it along the way, we have done a few things right. Manuel is supported on the medical side by Dr. Volker Zitzmann, specialist in nutritional medicine and sports medicine and an orthopaedic surgeon.
Who is this program for?
For beginners – young or older, everyone can take part
Road to Power is not a program for competitive athletes – but there is something to learn from them: they eat properly, because they know they need to perform, in the body and in the brain. You should be willing to push yourself a little, because the road is work. Manuel's job is to make that work enjoyable: there is a lot of laughing in the seminars and the classes. And this is explicitly not a sales event: protein shakes, collagen or nutrient concentrates are yours to use, but nothing here depends on them.

The program is running – start whenever you want
It began with the kick-off seminar on 9 August – the full recording is in the "Seminars" section. Every training session is held live and is available as a recording in the training plan afterwards. Everyone trains on their own and at their own pace, so you can join at any point, including mid-program.
Seminars: live every Tuesday at 8 pm CET – available as a recording afterwards.
Q & A sessions: live on Wednesdays – ask Manuel your questions, anonymously if you prefer. All recordings are under “Seminars”.
Training: every session live and as a recording under “Training”.

Out of the cortisol spiral
Why permanent dieting damages your metabolism
Most people make the same mistake with nutrition: eating too little for too long, living in a permanent calorie deficit, avoiding carbohydrates. The bill arrives at the end – a damaged metabolism. Your brain runs on glucose and needs 120 to 150 grams of carbohydrates a day, depending on your size and how hard you work it. If it does not get them, your body releases cortisol around the clock: hormone levels lose their balance, sleep suffers, and the nights bring racing thoughts and waking up in a sweat. What many people put down to everyday stress or menopause is often simply the biochemistry of the body being ignored.
120–150 g of carbohydrates a day are needed by your brain alone.
A permanent deficit is permanent stress – cortisol costs you sleep and composure.
The way out: a steady supply of nutrients instead of restriction.
Click through both scenarios: the crash diet and the whole-body way out turn the same circle in opposite directions.
The Road to Power principle
Eat properly instead of going hungry
Road to Power clears out the nutrition myths. There is no starving here and no diet to keep – this is about eating properly, eating regularly and keeping the supply of nutrients steady. Think of your metabolism as a campfire: regular meals are the logs you add in good time, the flame burns evenly, and you have energy for your head and your muscles all day. You are more likely to feel that you are eating too much. No counting calories, no going without: eat, train, build power.
Count energy, not calories – your tank decides what you can deliver.
Eating regularly keeps blood sugar and mood stable.
More strength, endurance and mental clarity – muscle and less fat come as a bonus.
There is more background on the "energy first" principle on our topic page "How to lose weight healthily".
